Plot. A struggling author, Jack, is contacted by the U.S. Marshalls to help write biographies for the witness protection program. The people sheltered by the witness protection program need background stories that are easy to remember in their future lives. The money is good, so Jack agrees. The people who contacted Jack are fake – there is an ulterior motive.
Liked. Terrific plot. Unusual. No sex, no objectionable language, and a clean read.
Not so hot. A bit slow – bumped the speed to 1.5.
Written by Linwood Barclay, narrated by Johnathan McClain and Graham Halstead, just over 10 hours of listening in unabridged audiobook format, released in May of 2023 by HarperAudio.
Enjoyable listen. Recommended.
