IdentityIdentity by Nora Roberts
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Following the brutal death of her housemate by a man Morgan was dating, she flees to Vermont and starts to rebuild her life, living with her mother and grandmother. Soon, she is visited by the FBI – the housemate wasn’t the killer’s “type” – Morgan is – tall, slender, beautiful, blonde. Morgan is trapped, fearful for her life, her mother, and her grandmother’s lives. But she needs to put it all behind her. Morgan takes a self-defense class, gets a new job, and falls in love.

But the killer isn’t done with her.

Liked. Typical of Nora Roberts – an intricate and exciting thriller that includes an alpha male and a damsel with a backbone. No objectionable language. A bit of sex, not abusive – some explicit, some fade-to-black. Good character development, especially of the grandmother and mother.

Not so hot. A bit predictable. A bit slow – bumped the iPhone speed to 1.4.

Written by Nora Roberts, narrated by January LaVoy, 15 hours of listening in unabridged audiobook format, released in May of 2023 by Macmillan Audio.
