Unnatural Causes by Dawn Eastman

Plot. A woman overdosed, and the prescription came from a general practice doctor at a local clinic. Everybody knows everybody and their business in this small town, and whispers mingle with rumors and gossip gone wild. The story traverses the lives and secrets of the town to a climactic ending.
Liked. Unnatural Causes lives up to the goal of introducing a series with a ton of potential direction.
Not so hot. There are way too many superfluous characters that brought more confusion to the plot than interest. They may play roles in future stories – but, IMO, the author introduced many more characters than needed to tell the story. Not so sure book two is in my future. But, you may find it a great read.
