The Silent PatientThe Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

A psychological thriller. A woman spends years mute, angry, and locked in an institution – all assuming that she is crazy. Not so. By the end of the story, you’ll learn why.

Liked. The narrator is okay.

Not so hot. The behavior of the lead character is completely unbelievable. She could have cleared herself of this accusation almost immediately with the right legal help, and she could afford it. Not realistic – at all. When this story ended, I couldn’t help wondering, “What the hell was she waiting for?”

Don’t understand all the stellar reviews. But … maybe it’s me who is insane. Not my cup ‘o tea.
