Daylight (Atlee Pine, #3)Daylight by David Baldacci
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

To get the most of the series, you need to read the first two – Long Road to Mercy and A Minute to Midnight or you will not fully understand the character of Atlee Pine. There will be more novels to the series, I’m sure.

Each book has a beginning-middle-end, however, the joining thread is a mystery surrounding Atlee. In book one a 6-year-old Atlee and her twin, Mercy, are violently separated by a kidnapper. The rest of the series entails the adventures of Atlee and her pursuit of answers. Is Mercy alive? By the end of book three, Daylight, we know Mercy is alive – but where? Maybe we’ll know in book four. This main thread is surrounded by clues, good guys, bad guys, twists, and thrills.

Typical Baldacci. Easy and entertaining reads. But, be patient – we’re not there yet.
