Wrong AlibiWrong Alibi by Christina Dodd
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Plot. Evelyn, a teen with a juvenile record, gets a job working for a wealthy Alaskan who isn’t who Evelyn thinks he is … she naively trusts a guy who is setting her up and is ultimately sentenced to life in prison for his crimes. Evelyn escapes and spends the next decade hunting the guy down and proving her innocence.

Liked. Lots of suspense, some surprises you won’t guess. Given the lead is a young female, the narrator’s voice is appropriate.

Not so hot? Should have known; published by Harlequin. The romance is completely absurd, would never happen in the real world – and the gratuitous addition lowered my rating. You may find it peachy, but for me, it spoiled a good mystery with a strong female lead.

Written by Christina Dodd, narrated by Vanessa Johansson, nine hours of listening in unabridged format, released in December 2020 by Harlequin Audio.
