Samyann’s new novel opens with a bang (literally!), and keeps the reader’s attention right to the surprising conclusion. The characters are engaging, and the treatment of the reincarnation theme is imaginative. The reader will be challenged by this book to examine the possibility that the past and present might be closer to each other than he or she may have thought. There are some truly thrilling scenes (think Spielberg), and a well-laid story line that will leave the reader vacillating between “what if?” and “why not?”
